Palin Rally

Porter asked me last week if he would ever in his lifetime get to see Sarah Palin. He has had a lot of fun watching her on the news, and thinks it's pretty cool that he lives in the same place. He's been pretty interested in politics this year for some reason. He's been rooting for Sarah Palin, and for Sean Parnell (our Lt. Governor) to oust Don Young, our rep. that has been in congress for over 25 years. Personally, I just think he thinks Sean is "cooler." Anyway, he was willing to get up at 5:30 in the morning to go see her in Anchorage, so I took him and Bridger to the rally.

We got a great spot right on the front row (thanks to Donna).

Here's a picture of Willow and Trig. Todd is on the left signing my button. I wanted to reach out and touch Trig's cute little hand, but I figured the Secret Service would karate chop me if I did! It's pretty weird having Secret Service here in Wasilla. There's three coast guard boats on Lake Lucille (it's not that big of a lake.) We were thinking they would make a mighty fine moose hunting rig. :)

In this picture Sarah had reached out and tussled Porter's hair. She said, "Hey, how are you!!! So glad you came!" Anyway, Porter was pretty excited. Piper is on the left. Porter got both her and Sarah's signatures. I think he's more excited about Piper's but he gets really mad if we tease him about it. Both Sarah and Todd signed my campaign button.

This is Sean Parnell introducing himself to Porter. It must have been because he's a kid, but Porter was man of the hour.

Porter and Bridger getting ready to rally
Bridger had a rough time because he got really claustrophobic. He squatted down on the floor and peeked out of a crack in the barrier to get some air. Poor guy. He ended up enjoying himself in the end. So.... Porter did get to see Sarah in his "lifetime." :)

Molly Moo

Here's a picture of Molly. She's a perpetual smiler. She is having fun being the hoover of the family, finding any little thing she can get her hands on to put in her mouth. Paper is her favorite!

We're in the 21st century!!

Well, I decided to go ahead and start a blog, for the many fabulous happenings of the Fletcher family.

Rachel started pre-school today. She is in heaven. They have a huge section of princess dress up items. And... she gets to eat twice. That equals heaven for the Rachel girl.

Porter went to the dentist and now looks like a chipmunk :)

I'm having technical difficulties with our new internet provider. They provide the "fastest upload speeds in the nation." Well, then, why is attaching one simple photo such a production? Grrrr!
